What an STP Operator Does
Every day
- Run and monitor pumps, blowers and dosing
- Visual checks of each treatment stage
- Record readings in the plant log
Periodically
- Sludge handling as per the plant’s design
- Cleaning of screens and chambers
- Coordinate testing as required by the society or campus
When something goes wrong
- Report faults immediately
- Coordinate repairs with the plant’s AMC vendor or OEM
- Keep the plant running safely in the meantime
